Letter from The President & CEO

Aloha!

As the President and CEO of St. Francis Healthcare System of Hawaiʻi, I am humbled and honored to carry on the 140-year legacy of the Sisters of St. Francis and Saint Marianne Cope. I take great inspiration from Saint Marianne Cope, who bravely embraced the unknown with a compassionate heart and journeyed to Kalaupapa to serve with faith and love. Today that spirit resonates in everything we do.

I know personally that navigating today’s healthcare system can be overwhelming and especially difficult in finding the right solutions for loved ones. At St. Francis, we care deeply and can guide you through health challenges so that you and your loved ones can live every moment.

Our dedicated team brings beauty to life. Our Liliha campus is a vibrant kūpuna village with skilled nursing and short-term rehab services at The Clarence T.C. Ching Villas, and an adult residential and memory care community at Hale O Meleana in partnership with 'Ohana Pacific Health. Our work extends into the community through hospice services, care coordination and caregiver education and support, intergenerational adult day care and preschool, and personal service programs. Our ministry supports individuals and families along the Wai'anae coast, providing hot meals and spiritual support.

We are committed to walking with you on your health journey. Our unique culture of care and appreciation for kūpuna is what sets us apart from other service providers. For us, healthcare is not simply a job; it is our devotion and a calling to serve.

As we approach our centennial year in 2027, my vision for St. Francis is a vibrant future where we faithfully evolve and grow our multidimensional programs to meet the needs of family, friends and neighbors. Join hands with us - by employment, in volunteering or philanthropy, and become an important part of our legacy of caring for Hawaiʻi’s people.

Yours, in service,

Kathy Morimoto
